I didn’t just stumble into this business. This is my dream career. Prior to starting Rockfish Design Studio, I worked as a graphic designer in the corporate marketing industry for five years. Combining that experience with five additional years of running my own design studio, I have developed the necessary skills, knowledge and expertise to bring the best branding and web design experience to my clients.

I enjoy working 1:1 with my clients and really getting to know them. Understanding not only the basics of what your business sells/does, but also getting to know you and WHY you started your business can add so much value and insight to your branding.

My style tends to be bold and vibrant with some aspect of hidden meaning, especially within logo designs. Creating visuals that are not only memorable, but also functional for each individual client is the key to successful branding and web design.

My ideal client is someone who I could sit and chat with over coffee. They are GOOD people who believe in quality over quantity and people over things. They might be a female entrepreneur, small business owner or someone who has a side hustle they’re super passionate about. Bonus points if they are fellow military wives and/or cat people.
I’m obsessed with my cat, Fogo.
Biggest fear? Dark water.

The story behind the name Rockfish
A BIG MOVE
In May of 2020, we moved into our new house on Rockfish Street.
DREAM OFFICE
After working for my corporate design job remotely out of my bedroom for 3 years, I FINALLY had the home office of my dreams.
PANDEMIC
Things were looking up… until… later that SAME week, I was laid off because of the pandemic.
RESET
Unsure of what my next steps would be, I started pouring my time and energy into what I love and what I am good at – graphic design and making connections.
LAUNCH
I launched Rockfish Design Studio, started freelancing full-time and business hasn’t slowed down since.
GROW
Although it has been years in the making, my business has taken root and flourished on Rockfish Street.
So, no, nothing to do with the big red fish. Just a memorable name in honor of a memorable place in my life and career. Born out of adversity, nourished by perseverance and a passion for design.

Traveling has always been an important part of my life. I love experiencing new places and being inspired by them creatively – the vibrant colors of Santorini, the lush landscape of Phuket, the quaint fishing towns in Alaska.
I started a travel blog to be able to easily share info and photos with anyone who asks for recommendations for destinations that I have traveled to.
Writing is something I genuinely love to do and has always been a creative outlet for me. And sharing helpful info with others has always been my love language. So it’s a win-win situation!
