ABOUT THE BUSINESS:
Sugarfold is a small-batch macaron bakery serving the Kansas City area. The uniquely designed and creatively flavored macarons are perfectly handcrafted from scratch by chef and owner, Dee. Sugarfold’s macarons can be purchased at local KC pop-ups or through custom online orders for events and holidays.
ABOUT THE BRANDING:
The Sugarfold branding is playful and full of personality. The bubble style letters are approachable and friendly, mimicking the fluffy, airy, melt-in-your-mouth texture of handcrafted macrons.
The heart shape used throughout the logo variations is a nod at the iconic KC heart as well as being a generally communal and welcoming shape. The heart is also Sugarfold’s second most crafted macaron shape, aside from the classic circle.
The double circles on the secondary logo represent the guide circles found on a macaron baking mat. The scalloped edge of the badge logo is a classic style historically found throughout baking tools and creative crafts.
The custom gradient used throughout the logo variations adds an illusion of “shine” as well as depth and dimension. It also compliments the colorful, imaginative style of Sugarfold’s typical macaron assortment.
